 Main responsibilities

  • The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new and existing business within an assigned geography and vertical. This is a quota carrying and revenue generating position that reports directly to the VP Sales, Northern Europe. This role involves complex selling within a sales cycle period.

Tasks

  • Proactively target new customers through cold calling and lead generation campaigns by phone calls and emails
  • Schedule sales meetings with new clients on a weekly basis
  • Ensure all customers are on an active Managed Service or Care contract
  • Build and create constant pipeline of prospect customers to scope
  • Develop relationships with prospect customer contacts
  • Work closely with existing customers to align their business needs with Qmatic solutions and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Work closely with Pre-Sales and Technical Account Manager to identify new opportunities and help facilitate new solution programs
  • Utilize additional sales resources to target and identify new business targets
  • Utilize Salesforce.com database to accurately reflect pipeline and account activity
  • Facilitate proposal review process for new business opportunities
  • Analyse requests for proposal and customer business requirements
  • Product presentation/demonstration
  • Lead project team in a Request for Information or a Request for Proposal
  • Perform market research to identify opportunities

Additional tasks

  • Regular forecast for vertical and/or customers assigned
  • Active participation on trade fairs and other customer events
  • Additional duties could be assigned

Responsibility

  • Full responsibility for achieving quota assigned
  • Pro-actively support management with ideas for future strategies and products
  • Represent other Business Development Managers in case of holidays or sick-leaves

Qualifications/skills

  • Must be a Self-Starter with a highly entrepreneurial spirit
  • 4-6 years’ experience within a similar sales role in an IT environment with proven track of quota achievements
  • Experience in complex solution selling ideally cloud and managed service solutions
  • Experience with enterprise customers is preferred
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills are preferred
  • Deadline and detail oriented
  • Experience or knowledge of the sector assigned is a must
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management tool is preferred, expertise with Salesforce.com is highly desired
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Education

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Relevant education in IT/computer technology
  • Excellent written and spoken Swedish and English 

Work Environment

This position is performed at Qmatic HQ in Mölndal, Sweden with travel throughout the region
